Any suggestions for long flights?

I just got diagnosed w/ Ultracitive Colitis today, & I have been having a really bad flare up over the past 2 weeks w/o  knowledge of knowing UC was what I was experiencing.  


Im going on a 6 hour flight tomorrow & in my past, before I knew what was wrong w/ my stomach, I always would get really bad gas from sitting and being cramped up on long flights.  Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can control this issue?

In my experience, eating a low-fiber, blandish diet a few days before helps.  Definitely avoid caffiene, try and drink lots of water and if you can get up every 45 minutes or so to stretch your legs or for a bathroom break, this may help. Good luck and happy travels!
