Anyone have advice....
I have Crohn's (diagnosis took 45 years) in jejunum and proximal small bowel. Two bowel resections. Damage was too severe to fix it all, but doing well enough on a mosty liquid diet for past 10 years (I eat some real food, but stay low residue) due to strictures/scarring, etc. Currently on Hyrimoz (insurance stopped covering Humira, but Hyrimoz is biosimilar).
Symptoms have always been constipation and bowel obstructions, managed with diet & meds.
I have also been diagnosed in the last couple of years with lichen sclerosus (think crohn's in the vulvar area - inflammation leading to scarring).
I now have similar issues (really painful inflamation/splitting/peeling) in the anal area, resuting in mild anal leakage (ick). It hurts to poop, sit, stand, walk and sleep.
Can't get diagnosis. Is it lichens speading back? Crohn's moving to new places? Infection 'cause of immune suppressors? Gastro says see dermatologist (who did biopsy for L.S.), derm says see gyn due to location, etc...
Has anyone else dealt with this? Been treating with Clobetasol (cream steroid for L.S.) in the front, prep. H in the rear, vaseline for soreness. Toilet paper is not my friend :( Any thoughts?
