What Can I Do With Left Over Humira Pens?

Mon, October 21, 2024 7:37 PM

My son is switching from Humira to Skyrizi. We have 16 Humira pens, still in the original packaging, in our fridge. I cannot bear to throw them away. They cost a fortune and I had to jump through insurance hoops to get them in the first place. I know there are so many people in need. Is there a donation place, does anyone have any ideas? What can I do with them?

Yes, these medications can often be very expensive for patients. Unfortunately because of the need for refridgeration of this drug, it can be difficult to properly donate it. You may want to check with your local State Board of Pharmacy to see if there are programs that allow for donation of the medication.
