Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with Chrons last year and my main symptom has been abdominal pain in my lower right side. Lately it has been increasing in severity and frequency so bad it has sent me to the ER several times for pain management. Just to clarify the pain is so bad I can barely move, bend over, go to the bathroom, even breathe in or out, without lighting like twinges of pain in that region. Upon CT scan my doctor found lots of inflamed lymph nodes which I guess can be associated with Chrons? My question is anyone else have these and severe abdominal pain? Thanks. Btw I have an appointment with my gastrointestinal doc but not for another two weeks calling every day to see if I can get in earlier. Ugh

My lower right or Terminal Ileum area is where my pain always is located. This is where my inflammation, strictures, cobbling and so on is located. Never think oh it's just inflammation. Think of anytime you've hurt an arm, leg, or had a black eye and how swollen it was and how bad it hurt. It seems to make sense when it's something we can see but not when we can't....well I have brightly colored pictures but no one wants to view those lol.
I hot tub or put 1 cup Epsom salt and 2 cups baking soda in my bath which helps with pain. There are pre-done ones too but I buy in bulk. I will assume you had blood work to made sure it wasn't your appendix, same location and what seems to be removed a lot with us. I feel like I'm constantly in a boxing match and being hit in the lower right back area more than front. If you can broth and smoothies to let the colon rest for at least a few days if you can handle that it help me.
Hope you get in early.

I have been dealing with this here recently as well. I have had Crohn's for 13 years, and up until now the worst thing has been frequent bowel movements and some hemorrhoids. But four months ago my stomach started to be off and I started to only want to eat half of my meals. Then this month the real crap hit the fan. I had lower right quad pain and upper gut pain. My CT showed bad inflammation in my lrq and my transverse colon. I've been on varying dosages of steriods for a month. I have good days, but mostly bad days. The pain has been intollerable. I can't stand up straight, I can't walk normal, I wake up drenched in sweat, like wet the bed drenched, and have so much pain I don't sleep well, if at all. I've been eating a banana and maybe a scrambled egg in the morning. And mostly bone broth soup with some well cooked carrots and squash and a little bit of beef tail for lunch and dinner. If my lrq hurts real bad, I'll just drink the broth. I have lost 15 lbs though :( This morning when I woke up I had the idea to put a cold wet cloth on my lrq abdomen. It helped with the pain. It didn't diminish any swelling, but my pain lessened. Try that sometime. I start Remicaid in a week so we'll see if that helps. Good luck to you. My response may not be much help, but know that you're not alone. It sucks, but we'll get through it! Hang in there.

I am unsure if this is how i reply, but, I had the lower quad pain. I ended up having my lower small intestines, cecum, ileocecal valve, and appendix removed. They thought it was only the ulcers, but i also had a stricture. Seem like they would do a pillcam or MRE....
