I have a colonoscopy coming up in two weeks. I currently go to the bathroom 20 to 40 times a day and I have liquid stool followed by solid stool. I'm currently on entivyo, although my G.I. doctor says the dosage and levels in my body are low. I asked her if I should try other medication and she said no because I did not develop antibodies yet. When I have my reactive protein test done, It was 7000 I was on prednisone and Malene briefly to bring down the inflammation. Otherwise nothing else I can sometimes go for 6 to 7 hours when I'm walking 20,000 steps a day without going to the bathroom. Other days I seem to go almost every 30 to 45 minutes and even at night I have to go when I'm trying to sleep about every 2 to 3 hours, I'm not really sure what colonoscopy to do so I'm really confused as to what to do next. What can I do? Is there anything I can do to limit the amount of times I go to the bathroom does Tylenol help my my G.I. doctor won't prescribe me anything else so I'm not really sure what to do I don't have a fever I don't have them domino pain just constant liquid stool throughout the day which I've had the last 3 to 4 months

Immodium worked for me too over 30 years ago, but Cannabis did better for me. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but water-filtered Cannabis smoke, in moderation, was and still is effective for me in slowing things down and making what I called "hypergut" relax, and I don't have to worry so much about what it was doing to my liver and kidneys.
With this condition, I firmly believe a person has to pay attention to what your body and mind are telling you, and find your own path. It helps to have a good gastroenterologist too, but I don't place 100% of my faith in any doctor. They only know what they are taught, and what they have observed personally, just like anyone else.

I've found immodium to be really helpful in reducing how often I have to use the bathroom. Don't over use it but it is helpful in slowing things down.
