Pain and gas with a j pouch

Sun, October 06, 2013 8:07 PM

After suffering for 12 yrs with UC, trying every medicine ,survey , blood transfusion and no relief Me Doc sent  me the a surgen who remove my entire colon  and built a j pouch from my small intestine.
That was over a year ago and  I still have no quality of life. The pain and gas is never  ending. The diease is brought on from stress for me i know that but I am not the type of person that get in under control.
I am on disability , but the doctors  say there is nothin else they can do
the only thing that help the pin was pain meds , but they won't prescribe them anymore.

I have a
family to take of and the stress and quilt i feel every day because I am sick and cant do the things i want only cause my stomach to turn into knots , pain and gas
I have tried everything on the market , nothin helps. I have accidents if i levels the house its horrible.
I dont want to life like this , I have a wonderful supporting family and it's not for to them.
I have heard the smoking pot helps but i dont like the mental high it gives u and it's not legal in my state.
Need any advise at this point. Please

I have been told that a lot of people like me end up with crohns. Unfortunately I dont have health ins right now so when I do get ins I will check into that. i just hate that everyday , all day I suffer with gas and cramping pains. I thought once They removed my colon and gave me the internal pouch I would feel better.  But I dont!!

have you had a pouchoscopy? sometimes people with UC are misdiagnosed and they actually have Crohn's.  I would suggest getting another GI doctor's opinion. You should not have to suffer so much.
