Sick to the tummy

Sat, November 16, 2013 9:45 PM

Recently I have been extremely nauseous. If my stomach is empty I feel sick, so I try to never allow my stomach to be completely empty so I try to eat very small meals or snacks, which makes me feel sick... I drink to much water or not enough I feel nauseous. I try ginger tea, fresh ginger root in water and many more home remedies. Nothing seems to help and its starting to make me very unhappy... I talked to my doctor about it and he rx'ed Zofran for me but it makes me really constipated so i try not to take it. Really I just want to know if anyone one else suffers from this uneasy, queezy feeling.....

I've had ulcerative colitis for 25 years and have always had bouts of nausea whether I'm flaring or not. I always have Promethazine on hand for when it's severe. Otherwise I just take OTC Meclazine.

I always have my Zofran on hand too.  I also have some peppermint tea bags at work, which help while I'm waiting for the Zofran to work.  Being nauseous has just been a part of my life with Crohn's.

That time. When I'm feeling well, I don't usually need it. Are you flaring?
