disability question

Fri, January 03, 2014 3:09 PM

I work in a hospital and have crohn's disease. Here's the situation...
The staff parking lot for my work is 3 blocks away from the main building and there is no bathroom nearby. I asked HR if I could park in a lot right next to the hospital because of my need to be near a bathroom at all times. They denied my request because they said they only offer disability parking for people with mobility issues. What should I do? I've almost had an accident several times because there isn't a bathroom nearby.
Any suggestions?

Educate yourself and then educate the HR Dpt.   IBD is recognized under the ADA.   My daughter's school has been most helpful and very understanding....do your research, your request seems reasonable.   Good Luck and Happy,HEALTHY New Year
