Crohn's and Low Dose Aspirin

Fri, August 01, 2014 8:58 PM

My primary care doctor has recommended that I begin taking a low dose (81 mg) aspirin  every day as a preventive due to increased risk factors for heart disease or stroke. I've had CD for about 25 years now. It's been very quiet for the last three years following a small bowel resection and I'm on no meds for it. My colonoscopy six months ago was fine. Is it okay for me to take that low dose aspirin? Any personal experiences you can share specifically about this? Thanks.
