The last two years have been brutal with the disease. Popping surgeries like tic-tacs, and generally having my life spiral out of control. I've been blessed to have a really upbeat default mental state, but that has definitely been challenged through the ordeal. I know depression and suicide are much more common among people facing chronic illness like us, and after Anthony Bourdain's passing last week I decided to dive into the subject a bit.
Concurrently, I've been taking a lot of baths to help various surgeries heal up and decided to make the most of my ample time spent in the tub and launch the 'Bath Time' podcast. My second episode is all about depression, and thought my fellow Crohnies might relate. I hope it helps in some small way if you're hurting.
