Have any of you experienced or continue to experience rudeness by the office staff/nurses at your doctors' office?

I also had to reach out to a friend higher up at the hospital to get what I needed from my doctor in respect to notes and just advice. I ended up switching doctor's in the same practice and couldn't be happier. I think it really depends on the doctor how his staff treats people.

Yes it happens all the time. The first few times I went I actually sat outside in my car and cried. (very unlike me I might add but I wasn't diagnosed yet and thought I had cancer) I was at my wits end and sick as heck. I actually told my Dr. But they are so busy and probably the most sought after specialists so (shrug) they could care less. Though he seemed to have more of a bedside manner after that. They don't realize that their office staff is the reputation that proceeds THEM, regardless if they are the best Dr in town. Now, they are really nice to me but it should not have taken me having to state they are the rudest people I have ever dealt with first. My best advise is that if the staff is rude, switch Dr's. I'm following this advice I want you to know. hint hint.

Yes this does happen to me. I keep a notebook devoted to my disease and not EVERYTIME I make a call. It keeps it all straight for me. Then my husband or mother in law say something to my doctor!! Serious. My mother in law is a big wig at our local hospitals, so she's the best patient advocate I can have in my situation.
I don't think the doctor's know their staff is rude. You should say something for sure....or have someone say something on your behalf.
