Job in healthcare

Fri, July 03, 2009 5:28 PM

My son is 23 and was diagnosed with Crohn's at 16.  He has been trying to get a bachelors degree but the disease and other distractions are making it slow going.  In this economy his dad and I are wondering if a job in the health care field is something he could consider or is this not a good idea with his immune system suppressed?  He is on Remicade but this is giving him limited relief at the moment so his contemplating a switch to Humira.

I know someone who has Crohns Disease and is a nurse.  She is careful, but has not let the immunosuppresant drugs get in the way of her medical profession.  She often wears masks and washes her hands frequently.
