I have heard of CD kids being at higher risk for fractures (their meds are sometimes the culprit).  Our pedi gi sends us annually for a Dexa Scan, which measures her bone density.   She has prescribed Calcium supplements 2xday, my daughter did suffer a "loss" when compared to the previous year.   They encourage weight bearing activity and calcium supplements.  Maybe run it by your doc and see what they think.

Good luck.
