My son's 1st Remicade treatment was last week and I am encouraged that my he has had little to no pain for most of this week....eating more, more energy, starting to paint again. Hoping for continuation of minimal symptoms.

My daughter was diagnosed in late March with severe Crohn's. She took Pentasa and 6MP but they didn't work so she was put on Remicade in June. She felt better almost immediately. The GI doc said that some kids do feel better right away but for some it may take a second dose. She has been on it since and is back to her "normal" self. Hope you have the same results.

I am hoping for even just some reduction in duration and intensity of his pain. We have a 2nd treatment scheduled for after 2 weeks.

Hi - It's my understanding that it might take more than one to get to maximum improvement.  I hope he has relief right away.  Keep us posted!
