Wish Us Luck

Well, those of you who read my posts know I'm big on a great partnership between the patient and the doc.  Or for some of us, the patient, the parent and the doc!

Well, we have relocated across the country and today is the day we see my daughter's new GI for the first time.  I'm not sure who you should be praying for......us or him!  :-)  Either way, I am so hopeful it goes well.  I'm not sure I am up to "breaking in" a new one but here we go anyway........

Hi AZ Mom ,(or should I type KY Mom)?

Glad to hear things went well with the new doc.  It is good that Claire approved too......I think that is half the battle.   If the kids are "cool" w/the doc, the regular appointments aren't as much a drag.

Hope she continues to do well.

It actually went quite well.  We are blessed!  We are in southern Kentucky but went to Tennessee.  I know I can't say where because of forum rules.

The new doc is the head of peds gi at the childrens hospital and IBD is one of his "clinical interests".  We are having some issues (nothing major yet - I hope it stays minor) and I like that he is proceeding with caution and getting more info from her old doc before trying to change anything.

Claire....well she was her usual feisty self....at least she didn't pick on him for bad hair.  Yeah, she used to do that to her Rheumatologist in Arizona......told him he had bad hair.  He blamed it on his wife!!

Thanks for thinking of us....

Good luck!!!!!!!  Which state are you in?  If you're in CA, my daughter sees a great IBD specialist.  Let us know how it went.
