CCFA has launched an archive version of Pediatric Crohn's: Finding the Right Path to Care, which aired on May 19, 2011.
Click here to view the free webcast, listen to the audio recording, and read or print program slides and transcript.

Description:
Understanding what Crohn's disease (CD) is and how it can affect a young persons health and life will better equip you to actively participate as a member of your healthcare team. Featuring pediatric gastroenterologist Dr. Sandra Kim and clinical social worker Janis Arnold, this webcast was developed to help patients, caregivers, and pediatricians understand the unique medical and psychosocial needs of children with CD and the importance of continual care.

Dr. Kim and Ms. Arnold discuss:

  • Important differences between pediatric and adult CD
  • The medical management of pediatric CD
  • The critical role of nutrition
  • Growth and development of the pediatric Crohns patient
  • Quality of life and support systems

We hope you enjoy the program and come away with a better understanding of how Crohns disease affects children.
