Hi everyone. My daughter Mya was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis last year in February @ 7 years old. Since then she's been on Sulfasalazine, Remicade, Metronidazole, Omeprazole, Methotrexate, and off and on again on Prednisone. She's gone through two colonoscopies/endoscopes and 3 blood transfusions! Thank God, it Finally seems as though we may be in the clear. Has anybody else had issues with so many meds that just don't seem to work?!?! And I didn't understand how your child can be fine for 7 years and then just develop this. They say its not diet related but I somehow fail to believe that all the way. Is it normal nowadays for kids to develop IBD this young now?

We where just told our 10 year old son has crohn's. We did every thing they asked seemed to making head way and he got a stomach virus, And now we are at square one again. But like you I am shocked that my 10 year old suddenly has chron's. But looking back there where signs but we didn't know that they where signs. I feel
your frustration.
