This is an interesting question to see if there is a common food type that everyone was eating before diagnosis. I am willing to bet that it is mostly processed foods like I was eating. I now have changed my diet completely to mostly organic whole foods and cut out wheat and dairy. I never touch anything with a long list of ingredients and I now know how to identify the preservatives and chemicals in that food. I did not know this before my symptoms began. I also juice fruits/veggies and herbs at about 24oz a day. All of my changes here have caused me to be symptom free and medicine free. I am trying to say that the food that we all ate has caused this. Something in our food that we know very little about is starting this process of disease and when we change and stop, it gets better. So what did you eat before???

Sorry to say, not here. We were a family eating lots of whole foods, grains, organic everything. Never ate out of celophane wrappers let alone quick fast food.
When our daughter was dx @4yrs old we worked with a nutritionist to revamp our lifestyle. Unfortunately what I thought was healthy living was entirely too much hard to digest fiber rich foods.
I am happy to report that was 10 years ago and she has flourished. She is in the 50% for weight and 75% for height. Her days of being dx w/"failure to thrive" are long gone and she is leading a productive/happy life.
