coconut coffee creamer

I'm 38 and I have had moderate - severe ulcerative colitis symptoms from 1998 - 2007.  Around 2007 - 2008, I started using this coconut coffee creamer by "SoDelicious" and it's makes my symptoms go away within a day or 2.  A few weeks ago, I ran out of the creamer and started using milk.  Within a few days, my colitis symptoms came back.  My hypothesis is that the coffee creamer makes my colitis symptoms go away.  Over the past ~7 years, I've tested this a few other times (by accident of running out) and the same effect.  At least for me, it seems there is strong correlation between consuming the coconut creamer and making my colitis symptoms go away.  The vanilla flavored creamer itself is a few dollars and can be obtained from places like WholeFoods.  The manufacturer recently modified the contents, but it still works for me.

Previously, I use to take asacol and sometimes prednisone.  I use to avoid spicy foods, dairy, black pepper, seeds, nuts, canned food, lunch meat etc.  I had a very plain diet.  Stress use to bring about flares for me.  However,  I haven't taken medication since 2007.  I've have had colonoscopies in 2010 and 2015- both normal.  Today, I have no more dietary restrictions- I eat spicy foods and I consume dairy products.  Sometimes stress brings about very mild flare ups that may last a few days and then back to normal.  I told my doctor about the creamer.  He was skeptical, but mentioned something about 'whatever works'.

I wanted to share this with others in case it may also help them.  I'd be curious to know if it helps or doesn't help other people.
