Cecum removed in BR, What can I eat to harden my stool now?

Mon, September 24, 2018 11:19 AM

Hey all.

I had a bowel resection back in 2017 which included my cecum. Immodium helps with the urgency but my stools are still consistantly loose and its troublesome especially when working. I've noticed recently that apples with skin not only help with the urgency, but sometimes harden my stool up too.

My question is, what other foods can I eat to achieve this same effect, so I can form a diet around them?

Thanks!

Nothing has done it better than live probiotics. Foods for me ? I would say rice & potatoes. Try to stay away from fried foods though
