Hello everyone, my name is yihui. I'm a college student and just begin to try SCD diet this March.
I had Crohn seven years ago and tried most of traditional medicie like Imuran and 2 kind of biologics include Remicade and Humira. And I don't think they are good solutions because no matter what kind of medicine I use, symptoms will still come back in two years and my colon also has some sort of narrow. I don't want to wait and just let my doctor use me to test those new, expensive medicine. And I found SCD diet from my website. So far, I already finished the first stage and turn to the second stage.
Those are my questions:
1. I want to know that after I already try all food in one stage and there is no any negative reaction, can I just turn to next stage? Or I should wait for some time? (I add one new food every 5 days.) If yes, how long I should wait?
2. I saw some nut butter in food list, but do I have to made nut butter by myself? Can I find legal one in market? I know a legal nut butter should not contain any sugar, but is there any other fact I need to be careful with when I choose them?
3. I can't eat almond flour so it's hard to make some bake food. What I use not is only pumking, squash and caroot. Those things will make cookie or pie get very sticky, and not dry at all. Any advices for that?
If you can answer my question, please reply. and thank you very much!

i tried SCD and mostly focused on eating lots of bone broth and vegetables. i would just give up on trying to make anything that resembles baked goods and learn to appreciate what makes you feel good over what tastes good. i no longer am strictly SCD but many of the soups i learned to make for SCD are still things i eat every single day.
