Stelara in Costa Rica

Mon, January 24, 2022 11:48 AM

I will be travelling to CR in the near future and was wondering about the availability of Stelara in the country.  Anyone know of a good gastroenterologist there?

1. Ask for a referral from your primary care physician, if you have one.

2. Contact your health insurance provider for a list of in-network gastroenterologists in Costa Rica.

3. Search online directories, such as the "Colegio de Médicos y Cirujanos de Costa Rica" (Costa Rican College of Physicians and Surgeons) or medical directory websites for Costa Rica.

4. Consult with local hospitals or medical centers. They can often provide recommendations for specialist doctors.

5. Seek recommendations from friends, family, or online communities who may have experience with gastroenterologists in Costa Rica.

Remember to verify the credentials, experience, and reputation of any doctor you consider, and make sure they are licensed to practice in Costa Rica. Additionally, contact their office for information about their availability, services, and to schedule an appointment.
