This is my 1st post with this Community. I was diagnosed in June of 18 and since them , mesalamine, prednisone, budesonide extended release, azathioprine and have done 4 infusions of entyvio. I have panacolitis and was in the hospital for it last Fall. I started taking entyvio in June and had my 3 initial infusions than. In July I noticed a huge increase in my energy level and I thought I might be coming out of the woods. But, for the past month things have been steadily declining. After my last in entyvio infusion, i was hit with extreme fatigue and that hasnt let up. That was 2 weeks ago. I am a special ed teacher and I start with students soon. At this point I am so foggy headed at work that its hard to just concentrate on sending an email. In addition to fatigue, i have cramping and about 10 bowel movements a day. What I would like to know, is if anyone else experiences an increase in brain fog, fatigue and basically just feeling flu like after/ while taking azathioprine, entyvio or any simiat medicine? I am off azathioprine right now but the doctor wants to put me back on it. The doctors and nurses dont seem to feel these medicines could be causing an increase in fatigue but I always seem to get worse when taking them. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Fatigue, brain fog, and flu-like symptoms can be associated with IBD itself, but they can also be side effects of certain medications used to manage the condition, including azathioprine and Entyvio. While not everyone experiences these side effects, some individuals can have these reactions backpack battles
