My partner and I live in Michigan, USA. He has ulcerative colitis and has been symptom-free for a number of years. He was on Remicaid during that time. In January our insurance company (Blue Cross Blue Shield Gold plan) stopped paying for Remicaid and made him change to Inflectra. Since then he has had some symptoms again including minor bleeding. The symptoms aren't serious (yet), but there is something off. He would like to switch back to Remicaid, but Blue Cross is saying that the only option is to appeal and that even that probably won't make them cover Remicaid. Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know of any insurance companies/plans who are still covering Remicaid or any other information that would help us figure out options? It is very frustrating that he was doing well and that they won't switch him back now that he is having some symptoms again. Thanks!

But I was connected with Janssen CarePath via my doctor's office. Together with my BCBS insurance, they have a Remicade discount program that was a lifesaver.

First, you should discuss with your partner's doctor or medical professional to make sure that changing his medication does not adversely affect his health. They can provide useful information and advice. mapquest directions

Thanks for the tip! Do you know the name of the discount program?

Yes I encountered a similiar situation. However, my doctors office put me in contact with Janssen CarePath. They offer a discount program for Remicade treatment which worked in conjuction with my BCBS insurance.
