Hi. I have been diagnosed with UC in 1993. In treament since then, first with Dipentum, then Asacol, finally Mesalamine.
Moved to a new state, new gastro who wants to chnage my medicine because of inflamation and very high levels of calprotectin.
I have no other symptoms. Eat basically every food and drink red wine, all in moderation.
I have no inconvenience in my life because of UC, except taking 3x2 mesalamine a day and colonoscopy every 2 years (no diarrhea, no bleeding, no cramps or pain).
The medication supported my medical plan is Zeposia.
I am very conflicted about changing medicine since i live a normal life.
Any concers? advice? recomendations?
Thank you.
Eric

Hi Eric, considering your long-standing stability with Mesalamine and your current quality of life, it's understandable to be hesitant about changing medications. For convenient medication access, explore options like Canadian Pharmacy B2B. They can provide reliable support for your prescription needs. Also discuss your concerns and preferences openly with your new gastroenterologist to find the best solution.
