Hello all,
I have been on Skyrizi for almost a year and have used a copay assistance card previously. After the new year, I was told I had no funds on my card. Over the past month and a half, I have made countless calls, waited on the line for hours on end, and have still not had the issue resolved. None of my calls are returned, and I am continually sent in circles. Since my medication is due to be taken next week, I had to make the frustrating decision to end up paying the entire cost of my high deductible.
A representative from my pharmacy told me many patients have reported dealing with the same issue from Abbvie. She said one person waited on the line for five hours before anyone picked up, and he still did not get copay assistance. I am blessed to have family who provided me with financial assistance, however I know that is not the case for all.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Hello Lsobieski,
I've been getting co-pay assistance from AbbVie for 4 years, and it's worked fairly well, although the 2nd and 3rd refills each year were a big hassle, requiring 10-15 hours on the phone to resolve. This was mainly due to pharmacy stupidity. This year, we got a new pharmacy provider, who immediately refused to credit the co-pay assistance to my deductible, which is illegal. They also said the benefit was exhausted after $3700, when previously it had been about $6500 a year. My Humira Ambassador suggested a different program where I pay out-of-pocket, and they reimburse me. You cannot use an HSA credit card, just a regular card, but this forces your insurance to credit those payments toward your deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. Worked like a charm, and they sent me a check the first time, then credited my bank account directly. I belive Skyrizi has the same kind of program; mine is called Humira Complete Rebate. It only works if you have commercial insurance, not Medicare/caid, an ACA plan, Tricare, or other government-sponsored insurance.
Good luck!
