Hello All ! I have Ulcerative Colitis and am well managed by Entyvio infusion every 8-weeks. My physician told me that Entyvio is now available as an injection instead of an infusion. Has any one on this forum switched to Entyvio injection and have advice or feedback ? Is Entyvio injection as effective as the infusion ? I read a peer reviewed journal that most people (N=183) report good symptom management but high levels of fecal calprotectin indicating inflammation. I appreciate all comments. Thanks !

Thank you for your post, Wendy!
It sounds like you are a very savvy patient, and it is fantastic that you have looked at the clinical trials results for your medications! I congratulate you on being so proactive with your health research. It is something that truly helps people with IBD engage in good discussion with their doctors about their health.
I would recommend that you continue to discuss this very important question with your doctor, and importantly include how inflammation would be assessed. Where is your inflammation level currently, and what steps would be taken to monitor those levels over the course of the treatment. Your preferences as it relates to how it this drug is taken are very important too. You'll find some people really appreciate the flexibility that an injection may bring, and others still prefer infusion. As long as you and your doctor feel it is the best option for you, that is most important. Good luck with those conversations (maybe they happened already!). We are here for education, and support as you need it!
