I can no longer take mesalamine for my ulcerative colitis because I have developed a hyper sensitive to it. My doctor wants me to go on Entyvio infusions. Does anyone have any experience with this drug? How did you feel when being treated with Entyvio? Did it put you in remission?

I've been on Entyvio for over two years now. I was on Colazal (Balsalazide) for almost 19 years and then it stopped working.
Entyvio has been good so far and the only downside I can say is having a bit less energy, but I'm of the age now that is less energetic, so there is that.
My only concern at this point is the possibility of increased cost due to rising parmasutical prices and possibly tariffs. If there is s sudden spike in cost, Medicare and supplemental insurance may still leave a substantial bill, so I need to keep close watch on pricing and coverage going forward.
Otherwise, Entyvio has been very good and has put my UC in remission.
Hope this helps.

2. How long might this plan take to work?
3. How will we be able to monitor how well this treatment plan is working? How frequently will tests be done during this change?
4. Will my new treatment need to be combined with other treatments?
